The Books That Raised Us with Jacey Adler x Reading Rhythms
About This Event
Jacey Adler (@jacey.adler) and Reading Rhythms are teaming up for an evening that's equal parts cozy and nostalgic.
We all know the popular therapy phrase "healing your inner child," but what if therapy wasn't the only way? We think connecting with your younger self can in a lot of ways. A childhood snack. A song you forgot you loved. A book that once made the whole world disappear. This event is an invitation to come back to that version of you, the one who read for pure joy, before life got complicated.
Bring a book you loved as a kid, or anything that gives you that warm, can't-put-it-down comfortable feeling.
Coloring books will be on hand to use and take home.
No agenda, no to-do list — just you, your book, and good company.
Reading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. We invite you to bring any book you want and facilitate silent reading periods, as well as 1-on-1 breakouts, and group discussions to pull on the threads of the books that everyone is engaging with.
In a world that can often feel devoid of interest and meaningful connection, we bring readers together to reconnect with our love of learning, to experience the wonder of beautiful venues and curated music, and to gather amongst all of the people who want to be in that very same room.
Our favorite conversations happen in the Reading Rhythms mobile app. Join us there → https://readingrhythms.app

“That first event I attended was really cool for me because I'd been wanting to just read more often and making a plan to just go somewhere and read really kept me accountable to that.”
