Reading Rhythms Queens is delighted to welcome Astoria Bookshop as our community partner for a special late-summer gathering on the rooftop at Greats of Craft in Long Island City. Together, we're bringing readers, books, and community together for an evening that celebrates the simple joy of slowing down and sharing stories.
We'll gather to enjoy good books, great conversation, and the simple pleasure of spending time with fellow readers. Bring the book you're currently enjoying, discover what others are reading, exchange recommendations, and join a welcoming community where stories spark new connections.
A beloved independent bookstore and cornerstone of the Astoria community, Astoria Bookshop has spent more than a decade connecting readers through thoughtfully curated books, author events, and a deep commitment to fostering a vibrant literary culture. Throughout the evening, they'll host a curated pop-up book table, allowing guests to browse, discover, and take home their next favorite read.
Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning to reconnect with familiar faces, you'll find a warm, welcoming community waiting for you.

Reading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. We invite you to bring any book you want and facilitate silent reading periods, as well as 1-on-1 breakouts and group discussions to pull on the threads of the books that everyone is engaging with.
In a world that can often feel devoid of interest and meaningful connection, we bring readers together to reconnect with our love of learning, to experience the wonder of beautiful venues and curated music, and to gather amongst all of the people who want to be in that very same room.
